Paul McArdle is a guitarist, composer, and educator based in the Finger Lakes. His musical path began at fifteen after moving to a small town outside Rochester, where early exposure to jazz, blues, and improvisation shaped his artistic voice.
Over the years, Paul has performed and recorded with a wide range of creative projects and collaborations, experiences that continue to shape his sound and approach as both an artist and session musician. An active performer in the region of Upstate New York, he has performed at respected venues such as the Bitter End in New York, the Rochester, NY International Jazz Festival and the Syracuse, NY Jazz Festival. Affluent in various contemporary electric guitar styles including jazz, blues, rock and fusion, his emphasis is to present integrated, adaptive, and contemporary electric guitar concepts with creative praxis.
Guided by a reflective and expressive musical perspective, Paul focuses on authenticity, connection, and community. His work now includes composing new ensemble pieces and supporting local musicians through education and mentorship.
